Mind, Body, Spirit, Career: Key Resources for Baylor Students

April 21, 2023

When you choose Baylor University, you join a family bound by tradition and camaraderie. As members of this family, Baylor strives to provide support to students in a number of ways. Here are just a few:

Career Center

  • The Baylor University Career Center provides professional assistance to all Baylor students through specialized career coaching, top resources, connections with employers, graduate school planning and much more.

  • Each student has a dedicated Career Success Professional (CSP) to guide them along the way. Your CSP will help identify your career interests, strategize your search for internships and jobs, craft your résumé and prepare you for success in an upcoming interview or networking event.

Spiritual Life

  • The Office of Spiritual Life offers programs, persons and resources to nurture theological depth, spiritual wholeness and mission-based living in students, faculty and staff.

  • Baylor students can receive pastoral care, go on missions in more than 20 places worldwide or attend a Baylor Chapel Service.

Access and Learning Accommodation

  • The Office of Access and Learning Accommodation (OALA) creates an encouraging, supportive, and caring environment where students with disabilities feel they are accepted and valued as individuals.

  • Through OALA, you can request accommodations or services catered to your specific needs.

Multicultural Affairs

  • The Department of Multicultural Affairs helps all students on their journey to self-awareness. The department assists students in learning about the many cultures represented on campus as well as explore opportunities to dialogue across differences.

  • There, you can find access to scholarships, events and information about some of Baylor’s multicultural organizations.

Counseling Center

  • The Baylor Counseling Center strives to facilitate the educational experience and total development of students by enhancing mental health and wellbeing.

  • Through the Counseling Center, Baylor students can find support through individual or group therapy with issues such as anxiety, depression, stress, grief, family or relationship problems, academic concerns, addiction, trauma recovery and much more. Therapy is available in person at the Counseling Center or online via telehealth.
