Baylor News Digest FAQs

1. What is the Baylor News Digest?

The Baylor News Digest is an email communication to all faculty, staff and students. The email will be sent every Wednesday and will include events and announcements.

2. Who receives the Baylor News Digest email?

The Baylor News Digest is sent to current faculty, staff and students. If you are a current member of the faculty, staff or student body and you're not receiving the email please contact BaylorNews@baylor.edu.

3. How do I submit items for inclusion in the Baylor News Digest?

Faculty and staff can use the Baylor News Digest Request Form to submit a request. Students who wish to submit an item for a student organization should work with their advisor.

4. How do I request changes to submitted requests?

If you wish to cancel a submitted request, please email BaylorNews@baylor.edu and indicate which requested item should be removed.

If you want to make changes to a previously requested item, please complete the Baylor News Digest Request Form again, noting that this replaces a previous request.

5. Why do I have to provide a link (URL) for more information?

As this is an email comprised of multiple items, each item in the Baylor News Digest links to more information. You must provide more information about the event on a page on your department or organization website. This helps to keep the Digest to a manageable length.

6. Are Baylor News Digest submissions edited?

University Marketing and Communications reviews and edits items in the Baylor News Digest for consistency and clarity.

7. Why was an item I submitted not included?

University Marketing and Communications selects and schedules items for inclusion in the Digest. If a request will not be included in the Digest, we will notify you.

8. Can I submit a photo or image to be included with my item?

No, the Digest will not support submitted graphics or photos.

9. Can I send a mass email to campus rather than using the Baylor News Digest process?

All mass emails must follow Baylor's mass email guidelines and procedures. Authorized individuals within a unit, school or college may send messages within their own unit.

An internal mass email schedule has been developed to assist in communicating with campus.
