Important Information about Student Parking Permits
Beginning in August, Student Parking Permits will be available online. In order to park in a campus parking facility, students must purchase a parking permit annually.
Here's what students need to know:
- Groups of students will be able to select permits on a staggered basis – beginning with On-Campus Residential Students – according to the dates outlined below.
- Permits will be available beginning at 9 AM CDT on these dates.
- Each group will be sent an email to their Baylor email address with instructions about how to go online and purchase a permit.
- You can purchase a permit on or after your designated date or until permits are gone. Please note there is a high demand for student commuter permits and availability is limited.
Permit release dates are:
- Aug. 1 - On-Campus Residents in University Residence Halls: Please note that the permit location is now tied to the student’s residence hall. This makes the process simpler and ensures a parking location near where the student lives.
- Aug. 12 - Graduate Students and Seniors
- Aug. 14 - Juniors and Sophomores
- Aug. 16 – Freshmen granted an exemption from on-campus residency

Free Parking and express BUS service is available from the Ferrell Center and some off-campus apartments. Parking Services encourages commuter students to consider the Free Ferrell Center parking option, which provides ample parking with two express BUS options. Parking is easy and direct service to campus means ride times less than 5 minutes. In addition, talk with your apartment provider to determine if shuttle service is available to campus. You will find more about the Baylor University Shuttle (BUS) routes online.
