Dr. Marie Hastings-Tolsma, professor, was appointed a second term as a visiting professor from University of Johannesburg, South Africa for 2017-2020 to enhance collaborative research and work with Ph.D. students.
Dr. Marie Hastings-Tolsma, professor, received the Excellence in Teaching Award from American College of Nurse-Midwives in May 2017 for outstanding teaching in nurse-midwifery.
Dr. Brian Marks, associate professor of piano and director of Keyboard Studies, was awarded a faculty fellowship from Faculty Fellowship Program in Israel from December 27, 2017 to January 9, 2018. He was one of 22 U.S. faculty members chosen from 160 applicants to meet with academic and social leaders in Israel.
