Financial Aid Eligibility
Baylor offers many financial aid opportunities for incoming freshmen and transfer students, and the first step is completing the CSS Profile.
-
What is the CSS Profile?
-
The CSS Profile is a tool used by Baylor to calculate eligibility for institutional need-based aid. Compared to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®), it provides a more in-depth evaluation of a family’s financial situation by focusing on other factors, such as cost of living expenses and number of people in the household who are in college.
-
-
How do I know if I should fill it out?
-
Any incoming undergraduate student who wants to be considered for Baylor need-based aid should fill out the CSS Profile. Students are only able to submit the CSS Profile their first year, unlike the FAFSA®, which should be completed annually.
-
Returning undergraduate students do not need to submit the CSS Profile again, unless contacted by the Student Financial Aid office.
-
-
What is the deadline?
-
The CSS Profile opened on October 1 for all Baylor applicants. For Freshman Early Decision and Early Action applicants, the priority deadline for the CSS Profile is November 1. For all applicants, the final deadline is February 1.
-
We encourage you to submit the CSS Profile as soon as you can!
