- Hurd Center hours will be Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Saturday openings this fall will be limited. The Hurd Center will be closed on Sundays until Sept. 17, when hours will be 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Faculty and staff are invited to use the seating in Carlton Hall or on one of the overlooks to work or connect with colleagues.
- The Varsity Coffee and Soda, serving Peet’s Coffee and more, will be open into the evening hours, and might be the perfect place for a morning coffee before starting your day on campus or an afternoon treat – including Dr Pepper floats – before heading home.
- The parking lots adjacent to and behind the Hurd Center are reserved for Visitors, Events, and Service Vehicles. Other cars will be ticketed if they are parked in these reserved lots. Faculty and staff are encouraged to park in the Dutton Garage or take the short walk over to the Hurd Center.
- If you need meeting or event space – including the 600+ capacity ballroom or its breakout rooms, the Hurd Center will become available for faculty and staff meetings, events and activities on a LIMITED basis after the Sept. 8 dedication and ribbon cutting. Availability will increase as the semester progresses. To request space, visit events.web.baylor.edu.
- The Hurd Center will officially open on Football Saturdays as part of Family Weekend, Sept. 16. The building will be closed for the Texas State and Utah games at the beginning of the season.
