Resources for Student Mental Wellbeing

October 3, 2023

Navigating college life can, at times, be overwhelming, stressful and exhausting for students. At Baylor, we want to remind our students that there are resources available — on campus and remote (including over the summer), some are available 24/7.

Holistic wellbeing is incredibly important, and students are encouraged to reach out to these resources, their community and/or trusted faculty and staff.

CARE Team Services
Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Department of CARE Team Services offers case managers who connect students to resources both on and off campus and provide holistic care through creating trusting relationships. You can refer a peer or yourself here.

Counseling Center
Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
254-710-2467 (Crisis support available 24/7)

Counseling Services provides counseling for a variety of concerns common to college students such as depression, anxiety and relationship problems. Services are available both in-person and through telehealth.

Academic Live Care (

In addition to the robust medical and counseling services offered through the Baylor Health Center and Counseling Center on Baylor's main campus, the University partners with Academic Live Care to expand the online medical and counseling services available to students. All Baylor students have access to the FREE services throughout the school year and during the summer.

Campus Living and Learning
Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.

All first-year students typically live on campus in housing that is coordinated by the Department of Campus Living & Learning. Staff in this department can assist when students are having difficulty with roommates or other relational challenges in a student's living situation.

Student Activities
Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Department of Student Activities is home to many of our chartered student organizations and can help students who are finding it difficult to belong at Baylor find community. Specifically, the Student Involvement Center housed in Student Activities employs students who specialize in helping peers navigate club membership and other ways to be engaged in campus life.

Pastoral Care

Campus Chaplains and Resident Chaplains are available to students when questions need asking, direction need discerning, and wounds need healing. Call 710.3517 or drop by the Spiritual Life Center or reach out to the Chaplain in your Residence Hall.
