Here at Baylor, we’re committed to hosting students from around the globe and providing them with a world-class education. We’re grateful for the contributions and perspectives that international students bring to our campus as they further their education and aspirations. Whether you’re thinking of becoming an International Bear or are part of the family already, numerous financial aid opportunities are available to help finance your Baylor education.

  1. All admitted students are automatically considered for the Baylor Distinction Award, an annual scholarship that may be renewed for a total of 8 semesters, or until graduation for most students. This scholarship does not require an application or any other materials. Awarded amounts are determined based off a holistic review of a student’s high school academic performance (test scores are not considered during the review process). A 3.0 cumulative GPA at Baylor is required for renewal each year.
  2. If you are an incoming student, please fill out the CSS Profile by May 1. The College Scholarship Service (CSS) Profile is an application created by the College Board for students to apply for, and receive, non-federal institutional aid. What does that mean? Completing the CSS Profile is necessary if you want us to consider you for the International Student Scholarship and other financial aid opportunities at Baylor. This scholarship is available to admitted international freshmen and transfer undergraduate students. Accepted students can complete the application for the International Student Scholarship in their goBAYLOR accounts. For more information about the CSS Profile, visit the College Board website or contact our helpful One Stop representatives.
  3. For both current and incoming students, Scholarship Universe (SU) is Baylor’s service for finding outside scholarships—and many are available! SU automatically sorts through thousands of available scholarships and matches you to scholarships that fit your background and academic interests. For more information, visit the SU website and enroll today.
  4. Once you are on campus, get involved and earn money by exploring University Work-Study opportunities. If you are eligible to work in the United States, you can apply for on-campus jobs. From hands-on roles working with students, to administrative roles in one of Baylor’s numerous departments, you can gain valuable experience and put your talents and skills to use. Work-study roles can also be a great way to build industry connections and can open doors to countless future opportunities. If you are considering participation in work-study at Baylor, please prepare and bring your I-9 materials to campus.
  5. Private loans are also an option to fund your Baylor education. You may be eligible to apply for private loans from lenders with a cosigner who is a US citizen. Visit Baylor’s Preferred Lenders List for more details. Disclaimer: Baylor does not require you to select a private lender from this list nor do we suggest any specific lenders to borrow from.

For questions about preparing to come to Baylor University (such as the Visa application process), please contact Baylor’s Center for Global Engagement or visit their website for more information. If you have any questions about the featured sources of financial aid, please contact Baylor One Stop.

Financial Aid is easier when you know your options year after year. We hope you find that these options help to make your Baylor experience easier and more affordable.
