Earlier this year Baylor University announced it would welcome new dining and facilities services providers to campus, effective June 1. The transition process began during the spring semester and will continue through the start of the fall semester.

The information below is provided to ensure you are aware of summer operations in campus dining and important contact information for campus facilities.

6/7/2024 - Dining Update

We are pleased to report Penland will be back in service earlier than projected on Monday, June 10.

Summer Dining:

  • Penland has been cleared to reopen ahead of schedule, and will be used for new student orientation sessions and summer camps;
  • Penland is also open for faculty and staff, who may use the discounted dining rate;
  • Faculty and staff may also continue to use retail dining at the SUB, where a 50% discount is available through July 31, from 11:00am – 2:00pm with a Baylor ID;
  • East Village is being used exclusively for Line Camp;
  • Brooks is now closed for standard summer maintenance;
  • Memorial remains closed due to construction; and
  • McMullen-Connally Faculty Center remains closed and will reopen on August 1 for faculty dining.

5/31/2024 - Campus Dining and Facilities Services Transition Effective June 1

Summer Dining:

All dining halls, retail spaces and catering operations have been evaluated by Facilities Management and Chartwells Higher Education to ensure a best-in-class experience for guests.

Based on these evaluations, it will be necessary to modify operations in some areas. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but there will continue to be on-campus dining options available during the summer months, which are as follows and subject to change.

  • Faculty and staff should use the SUB. If you check out with a cashier (not the mobile kiosk), a 50% discount at Chick-fil-A and Panda Express will be available over the summer from 11:00am – 2:00pm with a Baylor ID;
  • East Village will be used exclusively for New Student Programs and Line Camp;
  • Brooks will be used for summer camp dining, along with other campus venues;
  • Penland will be closed until at least mid-July for updates and maintenance; and
  • McMullen-Connally Faculty Center and Memorial are both closed for the summer for resource allocation, updates and/or maintenance.

For more information on campus dining, be sure to visit the new Baylor Eats website.

Campus Facilities:

A new online maintenance request form is now available on the Facilities Management website. The old request form – including links or bookmarks stored elsewhere online – is no longer functional. Be sure to use this new online form if you have service needs.

More information on the three new facilities service providers is available online as well, and contact information for the Service Response Center is below.
