Did you know Baylor awards over $8 million in scholarships each year to incoming freshmen? It’s money waiting to be had for students who seek it out and meet certain criteria.

In addition to merit-based scholarships that are awarded automatically upon admission to Baylor, Scholarship Events give prospective students the opportunity to receive significant financial awards while connecting with faculty, staff and current Baylor students through unique on-campus experiences. Some events are application-based, while others are invite only.

Baylor considers a total of 75 applicants for this program and awards scholarships accordingly:

  • 25 students from each area of study (Pre-OT, Pre-PT and Pre-PA) are registered for I2E and receive a $20,000 Event Participation Scholarship if they both attend I2E and participate in the Baylor²Baylor Health Professions selection process.

This provides an additional $20,000 scholarship and automatic admission to Baylor’s Doctor of Occupational Therapy, Doctor of Physical Therapy or Master of Physician Assistant Studies graduate program.

Getterman Scholars Program

Are you a high-achieving student who wants a well-rounded and challenging college education? Consider applying for the Getterman Scholars Program. It’s designed for prospective students across academic disciplines who are interested in an integrated undergraduate liberal arts education.

There are a few different scholarship opportunities available through the Getterman Scholars Program:

  • The Getterman Scholars Scholarship is awarded to select students and covers tuition, course-related fees for eight semesters of undergraduate study, and housing and food in the Honors Residential College. It also provides a book allowance and support for a study abroad program, a mission/service experience and a summer research internship.
  • Getterman Scholars Day finalists are invited to join the Getterman Fellows Program. Those who accept this invitation will receive an annual $5,000 scholarship that can be renewed for up to four years, plus funding for an Honors College spring break mission trip, an Honors College study abroad experience and attendance or presentation at academic conferences.
  • All students selected to attend Getterman Scholars Program events who don’t receive the Getterman Scholars Scholarship are registered for I2E and receive a $20,000 Event Participation Scholarship.

*Students can receive both the Getterman Fellows Program Scholarship and the Event Participation Scholarship. Students who receive the Getterman Scholars Scholarship cannot receive other Getterman scholarships.

Invite-Only

Invitation to Excellence (I2E) and Baylor Scholars Day (BSD)

Maybe you don’t want to join the Baylor Honors College or pursue a career in healthcare or law, but you still want the opportunity to meet with professors from various academic disciplines. That’s where I2E and BSD come in.

Both Scholarship Events happen each spring semester on Baylor’s campus and are designed for high-achieving prospective students. They’re invite only, which means you don’t need to submit a separate application. You only need to submit a Baylor Application for Admission. If you qualify, you’ll receive an email and an update in your goBAYLOR account with details on how to register.

  • I2E attendees receive a $20,000 tuition scholarship.
  • BSD attendees receive a $10,000 tuition scholarship.
