Perks, Scholarships and More: 5 New Opportunities at Baylor
Baylor is kicking off an exciting new chapter with the start of the new year, and we've got a lot to celebrate! From new scholarship opportunities to expanded academic programs, this year brings a wave of updates designed to support students from the moment they apply all the way through graduation:
Brand-New Perks for Early Decision Applicants
When prospective students apply to Baylor through the November 1 Binding (Early Decision) Admission Plan, they receive automatic consideration for a merit-based scholarship and Baylor’s Scholarship Events. Starting this year, though, Early Decision applicants will also enjoy these three NEW perks!
First Choice Housing Preference
New first-year students who submit a completed November 1 Binding (Early Decision) application, are accepted to Baylor, submit their enrollment deposit by the Early Decision Deposit Deadline (February 15), and apply for housing by the Housing Priority Deadline (April 15) will receive:
- First choice of housing, space permitting (Living-Learning Communities and Residential Colleges require students to meet minimum program requirements)
- A "Choose Your Room" timeslot assigned ahead of the general incoming class, based on the student’s deposit date
- The opportunity to participate in Roommate Matching earlier than the general incoming class
Priority Academic Advising Registration
New first-year students who submit a completed November 1 Binding (Early Decision) application and are accepted to Baylor get to schedule their academic advising appointment early, before other incoming students. A student who selects an earlier appointment time can plan out their schedule sooner, which may provide access to a wider selection of available courses.
$3,000 Non-Renewable Scholarship
New first-year students who submit a completed November 1 Binding (Early Decision) application and are accepted to Baylor will receive a one-time $3,000 scholarship in recognition of their Early Decision commitment to Baylor!
Baylor International Financial Aid Application
International students who apply for the Fall 2027 class, who are not FAFSA eligible but are interested in applying for institutional aid, MUST fill out the new Baylor International Financial Aid Application (BIFAA). The BIFAA allows international students to be considered for the maximum amount of financial aid.
Transfer Priority Deadline
Transfer students can apply to Baylor by the new Transfer Priority Deadline of March 1 to receive both an admissions decision and a financial aid package earlier. Transfer students who apply by the Transfer Priority Deadline and are accepted to Baylor will also get earlier access to advising and class registration.
New Scholarship Event for Robbins College
Robbins College has announced a new Scholarship Event: Baylor2Baylor Health Professionals Program. We encourage high-achieving students interested in pursuing a career as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Physician Assistant to apply for this Scholarship Event. Selected students can get a head start on their future with a guaranteed seat in their graduate professional program and up to $8,000 in scholarship support, available to those who stay on track with a 3.5 GPA throughout their undergraduate years. Baylor’s Department of Journalism, Public Relations and New Media is proud to announce three new majors to prepare students for today’s integrated communication careers. These new majors ensure students are ready for careers in an industry that values creativity, technical expertise and adaptability.
